Community-Driven Energy Planning Workshop Series
ACTT designed this workshop series to support communities in planning for the energy future and participating in the transition to renewable energy in a way that maximally aligns with local priorities and benefits the local community.
Community-driven energy solutions are planned and implemented with community participation at the center of the process and align with local priorities, build local equity, leadership, and empowerment, and multi solve intersecting front-burner issues while taking advantage of local opportunities.
This workshop series supports participating communities in developing local understand related to the renewable energy transition, mapping first steps that maximally align with local priorities, and preparing for implementation. The series includes a special planning exercise designed by ACTT that takes the form of a game.
The first pilot of this workshop series is currently underway, delivered in collaboration with The Center for an Ecology-Based Economy and funded by the SOLVE IT Prize from the U.S. Department of Energy.
