On Friday March 7, join A Climate to Thrive and three local artists, Jennifer Booher, Emma Mary Murray and Maisie Richards in our discussion about the role art plays in the climate and environmental movement. This discussion will highlight how each artist got involved in creating climate and environmental art, creative pathways in changemaking, and their perspectives on the power of visual storytelling.

These artists’ works range from the topics of sea level rise and receding glaciers to equitable access to a sustainable future. Through this conversation, the audience will discover how art can inspire action, build community, and fuel creative response to the issues that, whether far afield or right in our backyard, touch us all. This event is free and open to all! For more information contact wilson@aclimatetothrive.org

Climate advocates often know how to reach their legislators and how bills pass, but there is more to learn to influence regulators and utilities. Join us in April for our Community-Driven Energy Planning Workshop Series! ACTT designed this workshop to support communities in planning for the energy future and participating in the transition to renewable energy in a way that maximally aligns with local priorities and benefits the local community.

Community-driven energy solutions are planned and implemented with community participation at the center of the process and align with local priorities, build local equity, leadership, and empowerment, and multi solve intersecting front-burner issues while taking advantage of local opportunities.

This workshop focuses on supporting participants in developing an understanding of what community-driven renewable energy solutions are and the role they can play in addressing energy vulnerability and inequity and then playing a game designed to facilitate participants in identifying the renewable energy solutions most relevant to their community’s specific needs.

Register below to join us Wednesday evening, April 30th for collaborative learning, game playing, dinner, and fun! Visit the upcoming events page on our website for more information and we will follow up with specifics regarding location and time. Click Here to Register
