Local Food Community Potluck

Join us on October 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Beech Hill Farm, for the second annual Local Food Community Potluck as we gather and celebrate local food and community connections as important solutions to climate change.

Community members of all ages from throughout the Hancock County region are invited to come together and enjoy live music and delicious food at the farm while exploring climate solutions at the local and regional levels. The event will also feature a child activity area and an opportunity to brainstorm regional approaches to key climate solutions such as resilience, energy, and solid waste reduction and management.

In honor of the important role local food systems play in addressing climate change, attendees are encouraged to bring a dish that centers ingredients sourced locally. Local food potlucks are a way to honor local food systems and the farmers who dedicate their work to feeding the community. We will be sharing resources for local food on their website and social media channels leading up to the potluck.

We hope to see you at the potluck! If there is any need for special accommodations to facilitate attendance or to learn more about where to acquire locally grown produce, ACTT can be reached via admin@aclimatetothrive.org.

Attendees are encouraged to bring

  • Their own plates or bowls and utensils

  • Your own (non-alcoholic) beverage or a cup for served water or cider

  • Layers or a blanket to keep warm

  • A chair to guarantee comfortable seating
